John has his own house, and looking at it from the outside gives it the appearance of something that's run down, but with no boarded-up windows or anything. The outside is shabby concrete, though it's smooth, and has vines and such growing up the walls; he doesn't mind, he thinks it gives it an artistic flare.

John has actually spent a large portion of his savings and inheritance to fix the inside of the place up, to better use it as a rec room wherever muse strikes him. A thin but long room in the back of the house is the one with the most soundproofing and such, which he has fixed up the most. He has pretty decent furniture, and the house is littered with guitars, mics, mic and music stands, amps, keyboards, and even a small drum set in the back room.
