Adeline is overall just a preppy person. She’s happy with life, enjoys everything. She likes school, she likes sports; everything that can be expected of a regular high school student. The perfect model student, the one every mother wants to call her own. And that’s what Adeline is to her mother. But deep down, all she wants it to be normal. She’s tired of always being the perfect daughter, and just wants to get a bit rebellious at times.
Adeline is a very innocent girl. Sure, she’s had her fair share of hugs and a few kisses here and there, but she’s still a virgin and proud of it. She believes in chastity, in waiting until marriage, but deep inside knows that if the situation arose she would give in. She’s not all too experienced in love, one of the only things she isn’t too good at. She’s just biding her time while waiting for the perfect man to walk her way. But deep inside, she’s jealous of other girls who have hook-ups every Friday night, and constantly have their boyfriend on their arm. She wants to have a boyfriend, be just like them. She just wants to be[/i] normal. The only problem is, normal is hard for a Bradford. They were made to excel.
Seeing as Adeline excels with almost anything she tries, it’s just fitting that she’s a very friendly person. She loves talking to people, and does it all the time. Everyone accepts her as a good person, and she has lots of friends. She isn’t one for attention, but she doesn’t mind it when it’s from her friends.

On February 17th, 1990, Adeline May and Michelle Taylor were brought into the world in a small hospital in Weston. They lived in a town nearby, but Weston was the closest town with a hospital. Auburn had been bent on not getting an ultrasound, so it was a complete surprise when she was gifted with not one little girl but two.
The happy little family of four grew up safely and soundly in their home near Weston. It was your average-sized house for an average family. There was nothing overly special about this group. Auburn was a journalist for the local newspaper and occasionally for a magazine once in a while, and Michael was a successful doctor at a hospital about 30 miles away in a bigger town. The twins grew up happy and healthy, or at least as happy as they could be, living as they were beneath the façade of a “perfect family.”
For truthfully there were problems at home. Mom and Dad were arguing a lot, and Michelle was starting to develop some health problems. According to Dad, it wasn’t anything serious, but you could never be sure.
But years passed, and the little family was still together. Maybe not so happy, but they were together. Then when the twins were thirteen, Michelle died suddenly in her sleep. Doctors told them that it was in fact from that same disease, the one that they had figured had left her body permanently after symptoms ceased when she was seven. The family — now whittled down to three — was heartbroken. Truth be told, the two girls were what had been holding the family together, the glue, you could say. Now that that bond was broken, their ties were in greater danger than ever.
Sure enough, less than six months later, a divorce was filed and the couple was split. But it seemed that the divorce didn’t solve all their problems. Another six months after the divorce, a year after Michelle’s death, Michael died. Autopsies showed that he killed himself. Auburn, not knowing that his grief from their daughter’s death still ailed him so, was shocked. Now the family was down to two.
But a year later, things started looking up for the small family. Adeline was accepted into St. Sophia, and Auburn received a promotion. Though they are still suffering from Michelle’s and Michael’s death, time is still going on and they are slowly healing and starting to forget.
"this movie is total nuts."

It had been an extremely trying day. A lot of work, and no play. Exactly how Braedon didn't like it. All this work was starting to get to his head. The pathetic thing was, he was only a Sophomore. That meant he had like two more years of this to go. And that was hoping he didn't get held back or anything. Now, Braedon wasn't stupid, but he just didn't like to do his work. Honestly, where was the fun in that? But he did actually go to class, believe it or not. His art class had just ended, and he was walking out to his car. When he arrived at the parking lot, he saw a girl in a wheelchair — wheelchair — a ways ahead of him. He didn't know anybody at the school in a wheelchair. He'd never seen one before. It wasn't like he had something against them or anything, he just had never actually known anyone [not in a hospital] that had been confined to one.
Braedon tried to ignore the girl almost, walking over to his car. But he soon heard a sound like something falling, and then an angry voice. He couldn't help but glance over to see what had happened. It was the wheelchair girl. A part of him felt bad for her, and kind of mad with himself for avoiding her. But it was what most people would do, right? It was the natural reaction. No matter what a person was like, this was what happened. But he saw that her books had fallen, and she was having a lot of trouble picking them up. A small sigh almost escaped his lips as he dropped his books on the driver's seat and pulled his camera over his neck, closing the car door -- it was more of a slam, really — and started to jog over to the girl.
She wasn't very far. By the time Braedon was only a few steps from her, he thought he heard her mumble something inaudible. She seemed so...normal! He just couldn't understand that. Of course, they were people too, but yet...again, sometimes you couldn't help acting like that. Just when he was about to say something, he saw her shake her head and start to wheel away, leaving the books laying on the ground. Braedon quickly scooped them up under his arm and started to jog after her. "Hey, wait!" he called behind her. She really wasn't more than a few feet away from him, again, but he knew hardly nothing about wheelchairs, and still was a bit wary as to how to talk to her.
