The tire swing in the biggest tree by the pond swayed back and forth at the command of the tall blonde girl sitting on it. Many people would have just overlooked who it was, not thinking it could be her; but it was. Betany Fay Carter was the tall blonde sitting upon the swing, her hair held up by a bow.

After eight months, Bethany was back. Almost no one knew she was back yet, but even if they did know that wouldn't change the fact that she was different. She looked the same, maybe a little taller, but the main thing that had changed; she wasn't smiling.

That's one reason why people thought it wasn't her; because the Bethany they all knew was always smiling. This girl wasn't smiling, just deep in thought. But if anypone took the time to look close enought they'd see it was the same bitchy Bethany, just hurt.

Hurt? That's an understatement. But that's what she told herself she was, not wanting to admit the real feeling; broken. A sigh escaped her lips as the swing slowed down, her orange sweater pulled around her tightly and her arms wrapping around her torso.

Cammie hummed to herself as she wandered around. She had just recently moved here and was still getting to know her surroundings.

Her younger brother had said that there was a pond near here that he played in a couple of days ago so Cammie decided to check it out. As she neared the pond, she saw a tall blonde sitting on the tire swing, slowing swaying back and forth. She looked a bit on the distressed side so Cammie decided to approach her.

"Hi, I'm Cammie." she introduced herself, "Are you okay?"

Behtany's thoughts were swirling when she heard soemone say something directed towards her. "Oh, hey." She said as she looked up, attemping to give a smile but having to force one. "I'm alright. Just a little on the mellow side, nothing new." She said as she looked the girl over, she didn't look famliar and she didn't know who she was, she must have just started attending school here. "I'm Bethany."

"Hi Bethany." Cammiegave a little smile then sat down near her swing. Her smiled looked a bit forced but Jenni didn't push it, she didn't want to intrude on a stranger's life unless they asked for it. She'd wait til they got to know each other a bit more.

"I'm new, so if you don't mind me asking..." Cammie asked, "Do you go to St Sophia?"

Cammie had yet had time to meet new friends, it was too early. Hell, she haven't even went to the school yet. She had just finished settling in this morning.

Bethany watched her sit doiwn and she nodded. "Yes, this is going to be my thrid semester there." She said with in a amused tone, thinking about how long she'd been there always made her laugh. "Well, welcoem to Long Beach Cammie." She said then added. "By the way, when you get to school and start hearing crazy stuff about me, better believe it." She laughed at this, then looked up with a smiel as she added. "I'm just kidding, most of what they say rings some truth, but a lot are lies."

Cammie nodded, as Bethany talked about herself but her ears perked up when she heard about the rumors.

"Rumors?" Cammie asked, curiously, "Don't you just love how even in the craziest rumor, there's like truth in it?" Cammie had always been amused with rumors, how they start out as the truth then totally become something different, "It's like playing Broken Telephone."

Bethany nodded with a smile; it wasn't forced either. "Yeah, it's funny. Like one rumor that's going around is that I'm the biggest bitch at school. Not completely true, I'm just the only bitch that will admit it." She said, if that made any sence at all; she didn't notice. Thinking about school always amused her. It was funny how many times she heard ehr name mentioned around and even funnier the crazy things she heard about herself. There was one rumor going around though that she hoped people didn't believe; because it wasn't a lie at all, but a complete truth.

Cammie nodded with a grin, "Yeah, totally understand. I hate it when people are actually bitches but refuse to admit it." but by all means, Cammie avoided acting like a bitch, really. She tries to be nice to everyone but if you were to start insulting her or her friends, her inner bitch comes lashing out. It was usually a bit amusing to watch the person's expression as they realized they couldn't use her as a door mat.

Cammie gave Bethany another small smile as she realized that Bethany didn't use a force smile. Maybe they could become friends.

Cassie bounced over to the pond, singing to herself. She stopped short when she saw that she had intruded on the two girls.
Sorry. She said. I didn't see you. Hey your a sophomore, right? Cammie Sky, i think.
She looked really hard at the older girl but she couldn't place her face with a name.
Hi. I'm Cassie Fleen. Everyone calls me Cass. I have never seen you anywhere. She said to the older girl.But it's none of my business.

Cammie looked up as she heard someone talk. She knew her name, but Cammie didn't know her's....
"Um...not to be rude or anything..." Cammie started, "But how do you know my name?" Cammie asked.

She had just moved here and haven't even started school yet but this girl seemed to know about her, that scared Cammie a bit.

Bethany nodded. She also hated that, which is why she doesn't try to hide that fact that she is a bitch. Bethany looked at the girl that had appraoched, she only knew her face was familiar, that was all. 'She was a freshman last year.' She thought to herself as she offered a half smile. "Yeah, I kinda...erm, left a few months beforelast semester ended." She said then added. "I'm Bethany."

[Cassie Fleen]

"Sorry. I knew there was a new girl this year and i wanted to help out. They let me look at your picture so if you needed any help I could help you." Cassie shrugged, unconcerned." If you don't need me, that's cool. She turned to Bethtany. "Hi. I apologize if I interupted but I saw Cammie and I thought I would come over and help.
Cassie knew she had interupted and she hadn't ment to but she wanted to see what the new girl was like. She thought long and hard about what she ahd heard about Bethany but she realized she didn't know anything about her. She was confused because Bethany was pretty and most people talked about girls they wanted or were jealous of.

Bethany looked at Cassie and gave a half smile. "It's alright." She said with a shake of her head as she started swing herself again. She was actually dreading the first day of school, when all the new students would actually have a face to put with her name.

A shiver ran down Bethany's spine and she pulled her sweater around her tighter; if it was at all possible.

Cammie's eyes widen, "THEY GAVE YOU A PICTURE OF ME?! wait... THEY HAVE MY PICTURE?!" she freaked out, "Dude...that's just wrong." Cammie made a mental note to have a little chat with the school board about privacy issues.
She felt stalked, "Like c'mon...the school has no right to that. Hell, I haven't even been to their school yet. My parents did it all." Cammie could feel the anger bubbling up, the school board had no right to just give out her picture to strangers and she was sure her parents wouldn't want to either. Modeling in a whole different issue though, that was allowed.

Cassie just shrugged. "They had your old file. That and I have never seen you here and I know alot of people here. Sorry if ya fill stalked but I was trying to help." she drawled out.
