New boy BIG player[open]

[Talon Vance]

He sighed as he bounded around the court dribbling the basketball he had brought with him. Just because he was in a new place and around new people didnt mean he could let his training slip. and he would have to be dead if something was to stop him from keeping his body looking the way it did now. he sighed and shot a three pointer and watched as it swished threw the net, he jogged up and retrieved the ball jogging around and making sure he kept in shape and ready for the next game. he sighed he hadnt met anyone here yet which made life here so far pretty lonely. and he hated to be lonely.

Talon wasnt the type to usually sit around and wait to meet people, usually he was out partying and flirting and meeting new friends but, this was not highschool, and it was a bit intimidateing, especially being the guy who goes to this school because of basketball and being a legacy and the sport fraternity. He sighed and wished that he had convinced his sister to go to this school then at least he would have one person he knew.

Being new to the school didn't stop Rebekah from exploring...or causing trouble. This was on her thrid day at At. Sophia and she'd already spent two oif the afternoons in the principles office....nice. It wasn't like she was mad about it though, that's usually how her first week of school was spent; getting caught so she can find out how to get away with it. Her brunette hair slid into her face and she burhsed it away, looking about with an amused look.

Right now she was supossed to be finding Bethany and talking to her, but she didn't feel like talking to her step sister. As Rebekah passed the gym she heard dribbling. Raising a brow she wondered into the gym and watched a guy- she didn't know his name, but she was pretty sure it was Talon- shooting a basketball. He was new to the school too, but Rebekah was never one to be shy and not talk to new people. Nope, she was pretty outgoing.

She waited until after he shot again before saying anything. "Hey." She said with a half smile. Simply 'Hey', that's all she said. But she didn't need to say more, if he was busy and couldn't talk she didn't want to interupt him, so she just said somethign simple.

He turned his head slightly at the sound of someones voice as he jogged up to the net to pick up the basketball he had just shot. he looked her over, he didnt know her name, nor had he ever seen her around before, he gave her a slightly smile and nodded and said "hey" he shot the ball again and said " whats up?"

"Not too much." Rebekah replied as she walked further into the gym. "How about you?" She asked, then raised a brow. "Do you usually play alone?" She asked. She ran a hand through her hair, then added. "By the way, I'm Rebekah Betnly." She said, not feelignt he need to add 'Bethany's step sister.' like she ususally did when meeting people.

he nodded and said "nothing much, practicing" he shot again and said " i dont normally play alone, but i practice alone when its not a team practice yes." he smiled gently and jogged to retreive the ball once more he heard her name and nodded and said " talon vance" He knew who she was, he knew beth so he knew who she was.

Rebekah nodded. "You're a pretty dedicated player then, aren't you?" She asked, her hands resting on her hips. "Practicing even when you don't have too." She said. Rebekah could appreciate someone being that dedicated to something; she herself was. When he said his name it clicked; Bethany's ex boyfriend. "No wonder why you look familiar." She said aloud, not meaning too. "Have you heard that she's back?" She asked, then rolled her eyes; she hated talking about her step sister. They got along but they still didn't like eachother.

he sighed looking at her and nodded "yeah pretty dedicated, its my life really, its what i want to do with it, so i got to keep it up" he sighed gently and said " yeah i know, havnt seen or talked to her yet" he sighed gently.

Rebekah nodded, a smile hinting on her lips. "Yeah, I kow what it's like to be dedicated to something you love." She said, then her smile disappeared as she nodded. "I haven't even seen her yet." She said as she watched him then raised a brow. "Hey, how about a little one on one?" She asked with a smile, her head tilted to the side lightly.

he smirked gently and nodded, he didnt normally play girls but that was cause they didnt want to ever play. he smirked gently but didnt underestimate her, he didnt know if she was good or not so he wasnt going to judge someone by appearances. he smiled and said " sure bring it on"

Rebekah smiled. "Alright, thanks." She said as she walked over to the bleachers and set her school blazer on it. She now wore the white button up shirt with the tie; something she still couldn't convince the staff to get rid of. "Alright, so what are we playing for? Or are we just playing for fun?" She said with a raised brow. Rebekah didn't mind, she was bored and liked being with people when she was.

he smiled gently and shrugged and said " what you want to play for?" he smirked gently as he dribbled the ball in front of her before they started to play.

Rebekah tapped her chin, considering what they could play for without her getting into too much trouble with Bane. "How about loser treats the winner to a movie or dinner?" She asked, raising a brow. There's no harm in that, now is there?

he chuckeled and said " well thats no fair then, cause your going to lose, i cant let a girl buy me a movie or a dinner" he chuckeled gently, rebekah was fun, he was pretty sure they would be talked about on gossip girl for whoever lost but who cares nothing is happening. besides he was sure she would explain to her boyfriend they are just friends and he didnt have a girlfriend to explain to so it was all good[/color]

Rebekah feigned a shocked look but she laughed. "Do you have anything better in mind?" She asked, placing her hands on her hips. She already knew she was going to enjoy hanging out with Talon, he was funny. He was also cute, but she didn't realy pay attention to that because she already had a great boyfriend. "And who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky and beat you."

he chuckeled gently and said " yeah right, you may come close who knows but i dont think your gonna get that cigar" he chuckeled gently as he started dribbling the ball and shot it threw the air getting a three pointer and said " k lets play"

Rebekah laughed. She was pretty sure she'd lose, but she didn't care. She was just going to have a good time playing. "True. " She said as she took a step, tapped her chin, then held up a hand. "Just a second." she said as she walked back over to the bleachers and removed her boots. She'd rather play bare foot than sprane her ankle running around in boots. She walked over and picked up the basketball. "Alright, lets play."

he chuckeled and watched her stop him and then go over and remove her boots, he smirked and shook his head and said " are you sure your ready princess?" he smiled as she took the ball and he locked eyes with her getting down to stance he smiled and lurched forward taking the ball from her and shooting for a three pointer, he retrieved it and handed it to her and said " wake up call, oh wait i think thats the bell to say my dinner that you bought me is ready" he joked with her

Rebekah rolled her eyes with a smile. "Duh." She said, then watched as he shot. "Very funny." She said as she dribbled the ball and took a shot, making a nice point off the back board. "It's not a three pointer, but I still made it in." She said with a laugh. Okay, Rebekah's not very good at basketball, and she knows she's going to end up losing; but at least she's having fun.

he chuckeled gently and said " your right, it does count, at least you try" he chuckeled gently and got the ball and dribbled it in front of her before moving off to the left side and doing a lay up

Rebekah nodded and laughed as she watched him. "Sometimes it sucks being short." She said with a roll of her eyes as she got the ball, dribbled it somemore before shooting and missing. "Oh well." She said with a laugh. It didn't bother her that she missed; basketball had never been a sport she'd tried to excell in.
